Good News, Right?

Yesterday, I was so excited to post my first Show & Tell that I forgot to tell you all about my news. I got two calls from my RE's office yesterday. I didn't get to take either call; it's no longer summer and I am back to work. The first call was from the receptionist. She was simply confirming our D&C follow-up appointment for 9.9 @ 4pm. Good to go! We are more than anxious to learn about our next steps.

The second call was from the nurse. I called her back as soon as I left school. Our bloodwork form 8.19 was back. My TSH antibodies and several other clotting factors where checked and all came back normal. We had also decided to check DH & I's chromosomes and again all is well. It was a relief to hear, kind of. I know I should have cheered, had spirit fingers... something. But, part of me wanted to have something that we could fix.

Am I just that unlucky?

It is a little easier if you can point your finger at a cause. Sorry you didn't get a concrete answer. {{{Hugs}}}

Quick question about your blood work...did they check your PTT (answer is probably yes). If so, was it low? A low PTT isn't yet classified as a clotting issue by itself but a shortened PTT indicates a faster than normal clotting time and there has been one major study that tied shortened PTTs to recurrent miscarriage. That was the only thing besides luteal phase disorder that was found wrong with me. Once we treated the shortened PTT with lovenox, I had a successful pregnancy after 6 losses.

Kristin, I am not sure if my PPT was checked! I will ask Wednesday! Do you know what that stands for?

Here from Kristin's post.
I totally hear what you mean about almost hoping to have something show up as abnormal so it's something you can focus on fixing. I was so disappointed when I learned that my clotting labs were all normal.
I used to know what PTT stood for when I worked in the lab. I think it's partial thromboplatin time or something along those lines.

I'm glad the results came back well.
