Potty Training

We started potty training Friday (5.31.13). Of course, we have been talking to Chloe about it for a while now. She has sat on the potty lots before. But, Friday was the DAY. As soon as she woke up, we sat on her the potty (no luck) and put her in undies. TT wanted to try too! So, she did! The morning went.... well, horrible. We wanted to give up! Accidents, accidents, accidents and with no luck sitting on the potty. The girls went down at noon for a nap. We woke them up at 3pm. Chloe woke up dry so I knew she would need to go. She sat and we read books. And, then....it happened! She went #1! She was SOOOO excited! And, we were too! She got a prize and we made a potty chart together. For each #1 she received 1 sticker and for each #2 she received 2 stickers. After success number 1, 4, 7, 11, 16, 22, & 29 she has received a prize also! (We just picked those. We tried to space them out more and more). At nap time, she has been in a pull-up and night time the first night an overnight diaper. All naps since then she has been dry and most mornings she has been dry when she wakes. We stayed home all day Friday and Saturday. Friday, she was on a 20 minute schedule. Every 20 minutes it was potty time. Saturday, she seemed to get the hand of it so we didn't use the timer as much. Sunday we went to a picnic for C.elebrate A.doption. She wore a pull-up. Monday we went grocery shopping and she wore undies. She has done a great job so far! She has had 2 accidents since Friday afternoon during the day. I am pretty happy about her success thus far.

*TT just isn't ready (physically). She wants to so bad though. Of course TT, gets to have soooo much fun with the prizes also.*

I keep hearing 22 months is the golden month to potty train, but I'm not seeing it happening in our house! Good luck with C!!
