24 Week Check-Up

On Monday (5.16.11), we had our regular 24 week check-up. It started with the normal vital checks. Our nurse then gave us this bag...

It contained some fun reading, coupons and samples. But, it also contains the orange drink for our 28 Week glucose test. She gave us our directions.

A student (our office is a 'practing office') came in to measure my fundal height. This was the first time that they have taken a measurement. I measured right around 24 weeks. Perfect! She also found the heartbeat with the doppler. She said it was around 150bpm.

The Dr. then came in basically said all was well and answered a few questions. And, that was that. It was a pretty uneventful appointment. Wonderful!

Our 28 week appointment has been set for 6.17.11. We also scheduled our elective 4d ultrasound for 6.29.11!

Stopping by from ICLW!!

You have a beautiful family :).

My husband and I are starting to look in adoption and I was wondering how open your adoption is? (haha, I should probably read your archives, but I'm not sure if you discuss that?).

Anyway, congrats on your beautiful girls (the one in your arms and the one in your womb).

Isn't it amazing when the appointments just become routine?! I never thought I would be a "normal pregnant mom" so it was always so surreal to have routine appointments like that where everything went well! Congrats on hitting the age of viability!

Yeah for a great 24 week appt!! Ahhh...I had almost forgotten about the dreaded Glucose Tolerance test! Ugh!! Not looking forward to that! I failed the 1st one last year with Isabella by 10 pts or so, so I had to do that awful 3 hr test! I really hope I pass the 1st time around this time!!! Blah!!! We scheduled our elective 3D/4D U/S for July 8th! Can't wait to see your pics!
